The Capital Hotel - London, UK

The Capital, a unique townhouse hotel in the heart of Knightsbridge, was created by its Scottish proprietor, David Levin, 33 years ago. To this day it is a family-run hotel. With 49 suites and rooms, every piece of furniture, work of art and accoutrement is hand-picked or commissioned by the Levin family.  The exquisite interiors incorporate the works of acclaimed names from the world of British design and original paintings, from the Levin family’s own collection, adorn the walls.

Fabrics for many of the individually designed rooms were selected from the Ralph Lauren collection.  All suites and double rooms have king sized beds.  Mattresses are handmade and the bed linen is of the finest Egyptian cotton. The marble bathrooms are equipped with well-proportioned baths and powerful showers and even the bathrobes and toiletries reflect the attention that has been paid to every detail.

With two Michelin stars, The Capital Restaurant was among the first to receive a Michelin star when the Michelin Guide launched in the U.K. in 1973. A second star was awarded in January 2001 and is retained to this day. The Capital Hotel and Restaurant was awarded the title of "Best Hotel for Food in the UK" in Conde Nast Traveller's second annual Gold List.

St. Tropez


 

Chateau de la Messardiere - St. Tropez, France

The Chateau de la Messardiere in St. Tropez is a restored 19th Century chateau built on rolling hills with stunning views of the Mediterranean.  Each of the 76 rooms and 38 suites is large and luxurious, decorated in true Provençal style.  The walls are adorned with original paintings by a descendant of the original family, Victoire de la Messardiere.
